Prompted to update, but already at current

I installed LibreOffice 6.4.7.2, the current version of the “slightly older but supported” branch.

Every time it starts up, I get the prompt that LibreOffice has an update.

I don’t want to use the “bleed edge” version though, I only want to know of an update if the “slightly older” supported version gets a bump.

I didn’t find any toggle in the Tools / Options / LibreOffice / Online Update section to tell it I wasn’t interested in bleeding edge. How do I tweak this so it stops bugging me unless there’s actually an update to suggested “slightly older”?

there’s actually an update to suggested “slightly older”?

There won’t be any update for the 6.4 series of releases. According to Release Plan for LibreOffice 6.4 this version is End Of Live (EOL) since 2020-11-30 (may be this is the reason, why you get informed about 7.0.x release becoming the next “slightly older” release).

Hello,

How do I tweak this so it stops bugging me unless there’s actually an update to suggested “slightly older”?

not at all - your only choice is to disable the notification completely through
Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> Online Update -> [ ] Check for updates automatically
