Proofreading tool?

Hi, I have 2 connected questions. I recently changed from Apache OpenOffice to LibreOffice. In Apache, (a few years ago), there was a tool that I could open to do proofreading, and it would show strike-outs over the parts that I deleted, and turn to blue text for the parts that I added. Does LibreOffice have that? I haven’t found it.

part 2. If there is such a thing, will it be compatible with the proofreading tool in Microsoft365? I don’t think the proofreading tool in Apache was compatible with that. Hoping this program will be. I need to find a way to receive a document, proofread it, send it back to the client, and allow them to open the tool so they can see what was changed.
TIA for your help!!

I believe that you are referring to Track Changes (same name in Word). Start by clicking Edit > Track Changes > Record. Help at Recording and Displaying Changes

Note that the native file formats of Word (.docx) and Writer (.odt) are different and there is not a complete one-to-one mapping of features and formats. In other words, by converting from one format to another, you might introduce changes that are not recorded by Track Changes because they are not supported in one of the formats.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I’ve been trying to thank you for a while, but when I hit “reply”, i get a message asking me if my message is a complete sentence, and it wouldn’t send. So maybe by typing more, it will send.
