Protect parts of written document from editing and save in .doc format

I work in a small office and we are moving to LibreOffice.

Our clients need documents in .doc format.

We need to protect some parts of documents from being edited.

Protecting Content in LibreOffice Writer

(the following is from the Help file, or the link above):

Any section of a LibreOffice Writer text document can be protected against changes with a password (not intended for secure protection - it is just a switch to protect the section against accidental changes).

1. (menu):Insert→Section...→Section (tab)

2. (under Write protection) mark the Protect and With password check boxes

You need a password of at least one character.
