I know you can create custom dictionaries for single words but what about for phrases? So for example, I use spreadsheets a TON for video games (where I’m documenting item names, stats on an item, locations of where they can be found, etc., etc., etc.). I suppose I should probably use a LibreOffice Base but there’s something really convenient about having all the data in large categories (sheets) in front of your face, at once, in a sheet that you can sort. In any case, I have a lot of “weird” lexems (tokens?) that either get picked up or don’t. For example, if I’m referring to the Physical Attack benefit of a weapon, I might abbreviate the column as “Phy. Atk.” or “Mag. Atk” if it’s a magical attack benefit.
Now the word “Atk.” shows up as a suggested spelling issue. I can fix that with a added entry to my custom JRPG dictionary. But dictionaries don’t seem to handle “phrases” (and I don’t mean like sentences, I mean like two words but I suppose two words separated by a space is technically considered a phrase if you were to look at it from a Backus-Naur table).
How can I have, whether it’s LibreOffice Calc, or Writer, etc., handle multiple words as a single entry? For example, if I mis-typed “Phy. Atk.” as like “Pyh Atk.”, I’d like it to pick that up. However, if I write just the word “Phy” or “Pyh” somewhere on its own (without the “Atk.” after it) I’d like it to still be picked up as a problem. Is this possible?
