I’ve checked on other programs and it works fine there, and I think it’s only those two. I think it might be problem with the most recent update
You didn’t mention necessary information to diagnose the issue: OS name, LO version and locale.
From your description, I assume your are a German speaking user or your language has similar formatting rules.
What you see is called “typographical quotes”. This is a transformation controlled from Tools
>AutoCorrect
>AutoCorrect Options
. Open this dialogue and go to Localized Options
.
Substitution for single and double quotes is enabled with check boxes. The open and end replacement characters can be modified by pressing the buttons.
