I wonder if someone has created a Base template to manage/organize citations in a way similar to TextCite. This article talks about what I’m looking for: it explains how the author organizes his research with a relational database.
The default Bibliography database that comes with LO probably provides the base reference functionality i.e., a single table (biblio
) for storing references that can be cited. The main difference between this database and the proposed quotation database appears to be the storing of the quotation text being cited. This should simply be an extra table:
-
Quote_ID
unique identifier / primary key. -
Quote_Biblio_ID
source reference / foreign key. -
Quote_Text
text of the quote.
Further fields (e.g., date written, to allow chronological sorting) can be added as required.
Thanks for your answer. However this is not exactly what I’m looking for, because the default Bibliography database focuses on references, whereas I’m rather interested on quotes, i.e. on creating some sort of study «card index»
I will update my answer to be clearer. You may need to update the question for similar reasons.
