In my ‘Recent Files’ I have a Writer document displayed as a thumbnail, my problem is that when I click on it, a window displays a message that states that it ‘does not exist’ yet I can see it…!! Is there any way I can recover this document?
Sounds like the document might have been either inadvertently deleted, or moved to a different location that LO doesn’t know about yet. Did you recently re-organize any of your files? Have you tried using your operating system’s file manager to find the document’s new location? If it was deleted, be sure also to check the Recycle Bin, Dust Bin, or Waste Bin to recover it.
By the way, if you get tired of seeing an old document in the Recent Files list, just click on the X in the upper right corner of the thumbnail to remove it from the list.
