REMOVE LINE ABOVE FOOTNOTES!

I have spent hours trying to resolve this simple issue. When you use footnotes, the footnotes have a black line above them. I want to remove this line. Can someone, for the love of my sanity, tell me how to do this.

Using the Borders dialogue box does nothing. Changing the color to white does nothing. Choosing all or none of the borders does nothing. Changing the width of the line does nothing.

Remove all caps!

Choose menu Format - Page Style - Footnote tab, and change Separator Line values.

See more LibreOffice Help on Footnote.

Tested with LibreOffice 7.0.6.2 (x86); OS: Windows 6.1.
