Removing borders around pasted graphics

I pasted tables from a website in Writer, and the graphics have blue borders around them. I’ve updated the Graphics style, and there’s no change unless I double click Graphics while the image is selected. I’ve tried Update: Page Formatting.

I searched the forums and couldn’t find this particular issue. Example below.

crafting example.odt (29.5 KB)

Version: 25.2.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 7370d4be9e3cf6031a51beef54ff3bda878e3fac
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10 X86_64 (10.0 build 19045); UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded

Each image have direct format (borders)

  • You are done the right to delete the direct format to an image.
I do not know another method except a macro to delete the borders.

Right-click on a graphic and select Properties in the context menu.
In the Image dialog, select the Border tab and click on No borders under Settings.
Click on OK.

Unfortunately, I have not found a way to select several objects at the same time.

PS: The thin gray edges that remain are only visible on the screen, not in the printout.

Download and add the extension PicTool, https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/change-multiple-images-in-writer-pictool

Click on the icon PicTool(big) and in the dialogue that opens, in the bottom right, under heading Frame Type

  • in Change the Type select Graphics
  • in Into this Type select Graphics

Click Apply
