Hi everyone
I made a presentation and want some text to blink repeatedly until I move on to the next slide.
As far as I can tell, the blink effect makes the text blink only once. I tried setting the repeat option to “Until end of slide” but with no luck.
Is there a way to accomplish this? Sorry if I missed the trivial answer. I’ve also been unable to find anything with Google, only general instructions on using effects.
I’m using LibreOffice 3.6.6.2.
I don’t know how to do this in Impress either. A workaround would be to create animated GIF and show it instead. But what I can tell for sure is that there are VERY few cases where actually using blinking text is justified. More often than not it is just a disturbing effect used in all the wrong places.
@ytsamy - I have also observed some problems with blinking of text and just made a test in 3.6.6.2 and 4.0.3.2 on XP.
Blinking until next click does not work in either version.

And I, who thought that not seeing the actual “blinking” was a deficiency in my appreciation of the feature. Silly me.
