I am looking for a solution in libreoffice base reports where page number can be reset to 1after each change in group. E.g. page 1 of first group, page 2 of first group then again page 1 for second group.
Can anybody help me on this.

There is an outstanding bug report related to this → #52944. This is an old bug and the setting seems to have been removed.
There may be another method. An example is in the documentation → LibreOffice Base Handbook. Look at Chapter 6 - Reports under Examples of reports created with the Report Builder. You can also download this sample. It is in the zipped databases listed at the bottom of the Base documentation. The Base file is Example_Report_Bill.odb.
The method is a bit meticulous and needs time to absorb the various items to produce wanted result.
