This is the best way I have found to solve the problem with too much row height.
It has to do with Padding inside the cells. Libreoffice Writer sets for me too much height by default.
- Select the rows you want to edit
- Right-click and select Table Properties
- Select the Borders tab
- We want to edit the Padding settings
4-1. Uncheck the box where it says Synchronise
4-2. Set top and bottom to 0,00 cm
Click OK to set those settings. Then you see your rows get more compact. They look more like the do in Microsoft Word.
You might want to change the left and right Paddings also.
- Do the same thing as before to get to the Padding settings
- Set the Left and Right paddings to 0,20 cm
Again this makes it look more like Microsoft Word
Now you can set it to what ever you need.
