Save Backgroung colors in LibreOffice Calc

Hi. Is there a way to save my Background Colors in LibreOffice spreadsheet (Calc)? I use the same colors over and over in my spreadsheet. Some save in Recent, but that only holds a couple, temporarily, so i waste time looking for same colors I use over and over for color-coding clients by type.

Hello,

create your own color palette - see Create a new color palette - The Document Foundation Wiki

I had a look at that link. I don’t want to create custom colors - I am happy with the colors they offer. I just don’t want to have to search through all the colors each time to find the one I want. I would be fine with ‘Recent’ but that keeps filling up with the wrong colors when I make mistakes choosing colors that I want.

… or even if there were a way to punch in the color I want. For example, I use ‘Amber A200’ but I don’t see a place where I could enter that code.

I didn’t tell to create custom colors but to create a custom color palette containing your preferred colors.

Ah, yes. I’ll have another look.

This is going to be more command-line stuff than I’m comfortable with. I use Ubuntu. For example, your instructions have me creating a .soc file and putting it in /opt/libreoffice[version], and when I go into that folder there is nothing there. Too bad LibreOffice doesn’t just have a Favorite or somesuch folder that you can just drop your favorites into.

These are not my instructions, but the only way to get a solution for your problem. If you are not comfortable with that, then there is no solution for you and your only choice is too file an feature request.
