My touchpad doesn’t work, so I have to use my touchscreen to edit. In Windows, I can double-tap a word and drag the handles that appear to select text; how do I do that in Writer?
Are you not in Windows?
Insert your cursor at the start of the first word and press Ctrl+[right arrow] to select the word, press again for each word you want to add to your selection.
tap in a word to insert cursor, double-tap to select whole word, triple-tap for whole sentence, quadruple-tap for whole paragraph.
