I would like Writer to open automatically when I open Libre. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance for any help.
Start LibreOffice using option --writer
. Since you did not specify how you start LibreOffice now and on which operating system, no further detailed advice could be given.
Sorry. I use Windows 10 and Libre Version: 6.4.5.2 (x64)
Open your Windows Start menu and scroll down to LibreOffice, click on the down arrow to the right of the name so you can see the components of LO, clicking on Writer icon will open Writer.
Right-click on Writer and select either Pin to Start or Pin to Taskbar.
- If you Pin to Taskbar it will be
obvious where to click to start it,
you can also drag the icon from there
to the Desktop if that rocks your
boat. - If you Pin to Start you will need to
drag the Writer icon from the bottom
of the right-hand section of the
Start menu up to the top where it is
easy to find. I usually have icons for the 4 components I use most there
There are some possibilities to start LibreOffice Writer directly, e.g. under Windows 10
- From the Desktop
- From the Taskbar
- From the Start menu
- By execution command
