Hi,
I usually use spreadsheets with different length of rows filled at different columns. Some may go up to thousands. When I write a formula to a coumn I want to copy it thru the endpoint of desired column. It is easily done in Open Office, but here only possibility is copying into all up to end of spreadsheet. Or I couldn’t find the way to do it. What I do in Open Office is, write the formula, copy the cell, go one below cell, pressing go to the column that has number of filled rows I want to copy, press also then down arrow which selects the cells down to my target, release , got back to target column and copy. Explanation is long but it is taking only 3 keystrokes (for some far away colums may be 5, 7 or so). This is the reason I’m still using Open Office instead of Libre Office. If I can find a shortcut for it I will be pleased.
Thanks…
Thanks a lot, it is the solution. Enabling Tools/Options/Libre Office Calc/General/‘Position cell reference with selection’ changed behavior to what I wanted.
