Hello,
in fact you seem to have 2 issues
1) In January every time, EVERYTIME, I opened a file, it asked me if I wanted to recover it.
This could be caused by a corruption of your LibreOffice user profile, where the recovery information is stored but gets not deleted, when a recovery is performed and next time you get the recovery dialog again. I recommend to reset the LibreOffice user profile by performing the following procedure:
- Start LibreOffice
- Restart in Safe Mode using
Help -> Restart in Safe Mode
and confirm the restart using button: Restart
- Archive your profile expanding
Advanced
(click on the word Advanced right above Help
button) and click Archive User Profile
button
- Select option
Reset to factory settings
- Activate
[x] Reset entire user profile
- Click button
Apply Changes and Restart
Note Reinstalling LibreOffice leaves a user profile untouched, that’s why it didn’t fix anything.
2) not authorized to shut down or restart
This is a problem of your Windows 10 installation and not related to LibreOffice. May be this link could help to figure out the issue on your system. May be you need to turn to some Microsoft Windows forum. I’m pretty sure that your user lost some permission due to whatever actions and this also causes the read-only issue (My gut feeling tells me, that your user account has been recreated using the same name. If this is the case - then in fact this user account is not the same as before. Windows would have assigned a new ID internally).
Hope that helps.
