Since upgrading to Win 11, LO load times have extended

Recently I upgraded from Win 10 to Win 11 on a laptop with an Processor Intel(R) Core™ i9-10980HK CPU @ 2.40GHz, 3096 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s) with 32GB of RAM.
I am on LO 25.2.6.2 (x86.64)/Community
Now LO seems to hang for 15-30 seconds when opening a .odt or .ods file.
If the page listing recent files was presented before selecting the file, it goes transparent and then after the pause the file loads.
Maintaining the file operates normally and subsequent loads are faster, but not as fast as on Win 10.
Is this a Win 11 issue or is there something I can change in LO to make this better. I also have a virtual machine running Linux.
Would I be better off running LO on Linux?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated or I am stuck in the world of Windows?

It could be

  • Your anti virus checking each file that you open.
  • Windows Indexing running. I found it so impossibly aggressive on consuming resources that I turned it off completely and rely on Everything which is just a plain file name indexer.
  • If you have Co-pilot running, a recent post mentioned that disabling it made a big difference in speed.
