In Impress, the slides are flashing as they change. How can I stop it please?
Try: Go to Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View and disable “Use OpenGL for all rendering”. Please say your operating system, the LibreOffice version and which slide transition you use.
I also have this issue.
Operating system: Linux Mint 19.1
GFX: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB (propritary NVidia driver)
LibreOffice version 6.2.0.3
installed from flatpak flathub
And the software rendering also makes flashing.
I have been frustrated by this issue for some time. This single answer out here DOES NOT WORK!!!
I use Linux Mint 19.2 on my laptop as my primary operating system. I have been very frustrated that I cannot use my laptop to host a powerpoint presentation without crazy, black flashing in every slide transition. I tried Turning off hardware acceleration. I tried editing a slideshow and disabling animations. None of this worked.
Here is what I have found that does work.
-
Open your presentation in Impress
-
Select the first slide, go to “Slide Transition” on the right side.
-
Select “None”
-
Click the “Apply Transition to All Slides” button
You can now present a slide show without distracting, unprofessional, crazy, black, flashing between every slide!
