Small | character in the beginning of some lines

I am doing some work in portuguese, and some lines of my text contain, right in the beginning, the character “|”, inside the quotes. I am running LibreOffice 5.1.2.2 on Fedora 23. I have a small video that can show you my problem. Itś a Youtube link, https://youtu.be/FBsgxCwaQgc.

Track changes is or was turned on - Edit → Track Changes → Record Changes and Show Changes is displaying the default location of the ‘Lines Changed’ mark. Turn off with Edit → Track Changes → Show Changes. It’s a toggle - On/Off.
