I have a large document that includes three different indexes: content, subject index and bibliography. While zotero takes care of the bibliography and does so without any difficulty, I am facing a serious problem with the other two. I am in the process of the final edit and have made some changes which affect the indices, so I have to update them. Unfortunately, the update does not work, instead writer hangs and the process eventually has to be killed. This unfortunate behaviour affects Libreoffice 7.0 on both operating systems, Linux (OpenSuse Tumbleweed), and MacOS.
Solved, not a bug but a feature (?). To update them, you have to explicitly unprotect the indices and reactivate the write protection afterwards.
