Some images are rotated when displayed in an Image Control

The photos were taken in an iPhone and were imported to the Mac using Image Capture.
None of these photos has ever been rotated using any app.

Some (but not all) of the larger photos (e.g. 3024 × 4032) are displayed rotated 90 degrees by the Image Control.

I opened one of the larger problematic photos with Picassa and exported it to a smaller file size, and that photo then displayed properly.

I suppose that the images have the orientation metadata (telling how the camera was oriented during the shot), and LO possibly ignores the info. If this is the case, then file a bug report with relevant sample images and steps to reproduce.
