I would like to open the Start Center in the templates window by default, rather than the recent files window. Is there any way to do this?
For example, if you always need the same self-created document template, e.g. in Writer, you can define it as default. This way, when you start Writer, you will get your document instead of a blank page.
It’s possible to pass options to LibreOffice’s binary so it opens with the template picker instead of the start center. I don’t know how to do that in Windows or mac, but in Linux you only need to create a .desktop file that calls the following command:
libreoffice .uno:NewDoc
Some time ago I wrote an article about all this.
@AdamGreenberg and @RGB-es,
with me right-klick on “Start”, choose “Run”, then enter soffice .uno:NewDoc
. Just tested and OK.
Windows 10 Home; Version 2004; 64-Bit | LibreOffice, Version: 6.4.4.2 (x64).
Hello,
there is no way to customize the right pane of the Start Center other than to change the number of files shown.
Hope that answers your question.
Wow, still no answer? Is there at least a possibility to show the Template window when opening Writer like in Impress with a checkbox to hide?
