Stop LibreOffice opening browser every time it updates

I opened a document today and it caused LibreOffice to start updating before it would comply. That’s fine, I have automatic updates turned on. Once it was done, it opened up a tab in my browser pointing here:
https://whatsnew.libreoffice.org/24.8.5/

How can I tell LibreOffice not to open up tabs in my browser? I don’t care what the update did and I don’t want it interfering with my browser.

I am curious as to how you use Help?

LibreOffice isn’t the only program to open a new browser tab after update to say what’s new, I can think of several that do the same.

Personally, I turn off automatic updates. My work installation of LibreOffice tends to lag the current version by several releases unless I really need a new feature.
I leave the reminders on so I don’t forget to eventually update.

While it may not be the only app that does this, it doesn’t mean that this behavior is good. To me, it’s extremely annoying when any app unexpectedly opens up a browser, without me clicking on a button to view patch notes or something like that.

Menu / Tools / Options / LibreOffice / Advanced / Open Expert Configuration. Search WhatsNew, then hover over the properties found, read the pop-up messages and change the property values if necessary.
