Please only post your question once. Thanks! Please be patient: you will probably get some good advice about this.
hello, how’s it going? thanks for editing tho, if not the author/creator, likely should not as the edit was based off of inaccurate assumptions, and had significantly altered the meaning of what i had said, thank you
@learninglibre - This question is in serious need of help. If you didn’t like my edit, please don’t just revert it. You need to explain what you’re after and why, not give potential answerers a “fill-in-the-blank”!!
IMHO, this is rather a task for a file navigator (aka. showing the desktop). It’s up to you to organise your docs inside folders using the various file managers available with your OS (which is yours?).
If your screen is wide enough (or you have multiple screens), you can set LO window so as to display you active doc flush to its margins and no more and use the rest of the screen to show a window on your file system with whatever view you like (icon, list or tree view).
is this not possible? if so please update if that’s the case as the first line
and it would be answered
To get a better answer, explain in full detail what you’d like to get. We aren’t in your head and can’t guess your purpose. Also, mention your configuration (OS, LO version).
this simple question:
is this not possible?
Possible what? If you don’t explain better your use case instead of hinting to a (biased) solution, you won’t get a relevant answer. Above is the best I could provide within what I could understand or guess. Given a clear specification, there are many possible solutions, from simple “amateur” workaround to sophisticated “professional” procedure.
