Just updated Libre Office to latest version on my macbook pro (venture) and its so laggy when scrolling…have tried reinstalling too…any ideas please!!!

It’s a bug report, where this issue is tracked. Looking into it, you may see that it is fixed for upcoming 7.6.5 (it is a bit long, with many commits landed in various versions; and it seems that only the last set of patches brought good results).
So you just wait for the next release, and check if it helps. Or maybe even download a pre-release build, and test.

Index of /daily/ - you may try one of 7.6, 24.2, or master. Look for builds later than 2023-12-24 (the date when the last patch was merged).
