Syntax name Calc's functions

I want to know more about syntax of clac functions. It’s name? and Is it global syntax?. as you know it’s used also in MS.Excell too. It seems to be a independent programming language.

Edit:

I mean the global name of programming language. Something like (Python, C and etc.)

The easy way is through the function wizard Fx on the formula bar, all are there and clicking on their name you can see a breve description. Selecting one of them you can see their parameters and positioning in one their specific description.

Hi

There is also the Function List (menu Insert or directly in the sidebar). Functions can be sorted by category and the list displays the syntax and a brief description.

The functions are also described in Help (F1) with examples of use.

[EDIT]

It is possible to program with LibreOffice Basic, Python, JavaScript, BeanShell… and the API can be used by any other language such as C. This documentation page provides access to various examples.

Regards

I know how to access functions. My question is about the global name of the whole programming language. and not just name of functions. for example something like (Python, C and etc.)

Hallo

search here

The functions are defined in the OASIS Document and referenced as OpenFormula. This documents was written by many software companies including MS. That is why you find the same names in Calc, Excel and other spreadsheets. Many names (SUM) date back to the first spreadsheet VisiCalc which is now owned by IBM/Lotus.

I think you can not refer to it as an “indepentent programmimg language”.
