If I right-click on a topic and select ‘open in new tab’ the tab crashes. I have never seen this behaviour before with any web site.

If visiting a website makes your browser crash, then the bug is in your browser not in the website. (Just like if opening a document makes LO crash, then then the bug is in LO not in the document.) That’s not a Discourse/AskLibO issue.
it seems its a problem with Firefox, isnt it?
Of course my first thought was a firefox problem, but it’s only ever happened with the AskLO website.
