Symptom: Hyperlinks in table of contents do not work.
Problem: Your document’s table of contents is missing hyperlink start and end tags.
Solution: Add back the hyperlink start and end tags
- Right click on your table of contents
- Select Edit index
- Click Entries tab
- In the Structure bar, click cursor at the beginning
- Click Hyperlink, to add link start marker Link Start LS
- In the Structure bar, click cursor to the last position.
- Click Hyperlink again, to add Link End LE marker
- Click OK
And now you should be all good. If your section numbers do not appear in the Table of Contents, you need to add those.
- Right click on your table of contents
- Select Edit index
- Click Entries tab
- In the Structure bar, click the cursor just after the Link Start LS marker.
- Click Chapter No., to add Entry Number E# marker.
- Choose your formatting.
- This will only change the level indicated in the Level column. To apply to all levels, click the All button.
- Click OK
To make sure there is no bug involved, please create a new document, add a few headers, add a TOC and see if there are links. If they are, everything is fine. If they are not links, it might be your version of LibreOffice needs fixing. Please report it then.
