Teaching LibreOffice

I’ve been a one on one instructor for computer related topics for many years now. More recently I’ve started working in Community Education instruction as well. The school I teach at has OpenOffice and is teaching the program using the lesson Plans found here.

I personally have switched to LibreOffice and think everyone should as well. Does LibreOffice have any tools available to someone like me to teach the program? I noticed you have “Guides”. I haven’t looked at them yet but will they do the same thing our tutorials for OpenOffice will do?

If we were to use the guides, would there be any issue with is printing copies for the entire class?

I personally have switched to LibreOffice and think everyone should be fine. Does LibreOffice have any tools available to someone like me to write the program? We will see this homepage. I note it in “Guides”. I haven’t looked at them yet and will they do the same thing our coaches for OpenOffice will do?

I’m in the same general situation, and I found this:

Haven’t investigated in any depth, but looks like a good start for LibreOffice.

This is cool, thanks for the link. I downloaded the zip file so I wouldn’t have to download them all at once. I have also requested the work files. I will let you know how it goes once I review it.

Currently I’m in the Masters Program at Devry University for Technology Education. I would love to see LibreOffice as a course taught at more colleges. Maybe I will push to have the class at whatever college I teach at after graduation.
