I am trying to use the TexMaths extension on Impress. I have installed TexhMath 0.50 from here. However when running the extension from the toolbar:
I get the error message:
Error: can’t find file … tmppath.txt
I would appreciate it if you could help me know what the problem is and how to solve it.
Which LO version are you using?
The compatibility information with the LO versions is LO 6.4 on the extension site. Maybe something was changed in the newer versions.
For example the 6.x.y use “ODF 1.2 Extended”, but the LO 7.x.y use the “ODF 1.3 extended” file format version by default.
On the home page under “What is it ?”:
As its predecessor, TexMaths is a LibreOffice extension that allows you to enter and edit LaTeX equations directly into LibreOffice documents. All you need is a working LaTeX installation, at least one of the two programs dvipng or dvisvgm and of course the TexMaths LibreOffice extension.
Is LaTeX installed on your system? Have you followed the the installation information?
On the home page, under “19/02/2023 - Version 0.50 released” one can read:
Several bugs have been fixed and TexMaths is now compatible with LibreOffice 7.5.
I installed TexMaths on Windows with version 7.3.7.2, 7.4.6.2 or 7.5.1.2 without any problems.
Had this same issue. Providing paths to all optional dependencies (“xelatex”, “dvilualatex”, “dvipng”, “dvisvgm”) resolved it. Hope this helps.
