My text box font colours always end up black whatever I do. I highlight the text, Right Click and chose character font colour white but it ends up black!
I have noticed if I double click inside the box the text goes white. If I click outside it rverts to black. Print preview shows black but it prints as white!
I did things a bit differently from shahriyarsabit. I am hoping I followed the same begining steps that you did. Starting from the top:
- I opened Libre Office Writer
- Started typing.
- Highlight (via left mouse click and drag) one word.
- Right clicked the word.
- Select [Character]->[A Character]
- Font Effects Tab.
- Font Color Changed from Automatic to White
- Pressed [OK].
- Noticed how the word went from black to white.
Given the above, I am wondering if I am using a different version of Writer than you or perhaps the steps I included above differ slightly from your steps. Just to make sure it is not the former, here is my version number:
Version: 7.4.7.2 / LibreOffice Community
How well does my comment answer your question?
Maybe it is the software problem. Have you tried by reinstalling the software?
Note: Use the latest version of LibreOffice which should be downloaded from LibreOffice official site.
By the way, you could attach a video recording (GIF format) of your problem which will make it convenient to the experts for suggesting proper solution.
*There are many freeware softwares are available to record screen in gif format.
But this works fine for us!
