Text (Liberation Sans) blurred in Calc after update

In Calc, I use Liberation Sans (10 pt) for values of cells.

There seems to be a difference between then current version of LibreOffice and older versions (f.e. 24.2.5.2 - July 2024) I cannot understand.
After one of the last updates (as I didn´t updated some time, I cannot tell the number, but I tried to install f.e. 24.2.5.2 and here all works fine), my text looks different: it is a bit blurred.

In the attachement, there is an example of an .ods file and also a picture with screenshots that show the difference.
Calc experiment.ods (12.2 KB)

How can I prevent these unwanted changes?

Thank you.

First steps to take before submitting a bug

Have a look there at:

  • Computation-related issues in Calc (OpenCL)
  • Graphics-related issues ( Skia )
  • Fonts issues
  • Rendering issues specific to Linux

I tried to open it on another device (another Windows version etc.) with updated LibreOffice, and it works fine (not on my main device, here the problem persists). Please, what should I try on my main device?

Things that can affect blurriness of text in Windows

  • Start menu > Settings > System > Display > Scale
  • Start menu > Settings > System > Display > Resolution
  • Font smoothing
    1. Press the Win+R keys to open Run, type SystemPropertiesPerformance.exe into Run, and click/tap on OK to directly open to the Visual Effects tab in Performance Options
    2. Check (enable - default) or uncheck (disable) Smooth edges of screen fonts for what you want, and click/tap on OK
  • The font you are using might work better or worse than another font for different resolution or font smoothing

Things that can affect blurriness of fonts in LibreOffice

  • Zoom of document (yours is 90%, it should look sharper at 100% or a multiple of native screen resolution). If display scale has been set to 125% in Windows, then zoom of 80% or 160% is likely to be sharper than 100%
  • Possibly Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View > Use Anti-aliasing (requires restart)

Thank you! Font smoothing (setting in SystemPropertiesPerformance.exe) was the solution.
