Hello,
How is it possible to change the color of the box that appears around selected text.
Currently it is a light blue rectangle that is difficult to see if you have similar colors in the document. I need more contrast.
Thanks,
Eras

the answer provided is no longer correct wef 5.0.0 release–the value is now set from the Expert Configuration dialog; search for and edit properties of TransparentSelection [true|false] or TransparentSelectionPercent [10-90%] - Stuart
You may modify (decrease) “Transparency” in the menu
“Tools → Options → LibreOffice → View → Selection → Transparency xy%”.
but is it possible to change the color in libreoffice or is that a system color?
The selected text background colour seems to be inverse of the document bg color actually, the latter being set in:
Tools → Options → LibreOffice → Appearance → General
It would be nice to over-ride it sometimes, but there is no way to do that.
I select an easy on the eyes violet for doc bg, and selected bg color is then olive green.
