The aesthetic theme change after an installation in Debian

Hello, everyone.

System: Debian 12 xfce

Eliminate the LibreOffice* Metapaquete in Debian and then install it again, but this time I have a less pleasant and much more outdated graphic interface.

How can I reverse this theme?

You have tagged base which addresses problems with the database frontend component Base, but the screenshot looks like a Writer window. Please retag if you’re really asking about Writer, though the best tag is probably common as a UI issue will appear in all components.

Edit your question (click on below it, then on the “pencil” icon) to mention the exact Debian distro and LO version.

How did you install? With Debian package manager?

What is your desktopn? Gnome (or any based on GTK+ widgets), KDE Plasma (or any based on Qt widgets)? They require an interface package otherwise you revert to a very generic one (resulting in the “outdated” look). Under Fedora, these packages are libreoffice-gtk3 and libreoffice-kf5 (or libreoffice-kf6 for Qt 6). Name may vary in Debian.

I’m using xfce, I already made the changes, thanks.

Xfce is based on GTK+. See if package libreoffice-gtk3 or libreoffice-gtk4 is installed. In doubt, install both. LO automatically chooses the correct one. Reminder: names are given for Fedora. They may be slightly different under Debian.
