The lock file could not be created for exclusive access by LibreOffice, due to missing permission to create a lock file on that file location or lack of free disk space.

I have plenty of space I just want to save doc so I can edit no locking or permissions needed

Why doesn't the macro change the color and borders of the cells, although it changes the text in cells?

Hello - you have a problem and are looking for help. That what this site is about, but please understand no one willing to help is able to provide a sound answer without some information about your environment. Thus please provide:

  • Operating System (Windows, Linux, macOS) and its version?
  • LibreOffice version?
  • Storage devices (Local disk, Local fileserver, Cloud, Google Drive; OneDrive)?
  • Filenames (esp.: Do they contain spaces; e.g: File Name with Spaces.ods)
  • If applicable: Access method to remote directories (NFS, SAMBA, Windows Share)?
  • Any save/storage problems using other applications
  • Could you manually create a file named .~lock.test.odt#

No permission - no save. You always require permission to save or store on an storage device (whatever and wherever it is).
