The many forms of LibreOffice

Can anyone explain when/where the terms “fresh” and “still” are used? I don’t see these terms when I download LibreOffice. Also, why are there several versions of LibreOffice on the Microsoft store? I understand LibreOffice Vanilla, but not the others.

Use of “fresh” and “still” was discontinued as people were equally confused which is which, though it’s actually easy. There’s always two versions maintained, currently 7.0.6 that would had been “still” as the older not that frequently updated anymore, and 7.1.5 that would had been “fresh” as the, well, fresher version. When 7.2.0 would come out it would be the then “fresh” and 7.1.5 (or 7.1.6) become “still”, and 7.0.6 would be end-of-life.

As for versions in the Microsoft store, there are some even piggy-backing on the success of LibreOffice and are just a rip-off copy or worse. For the official versions see App Stores and Chromebooks | LibreOffice - Free Office Suite - Based on OpenOffice - Compatible with Microsoft .

The other way round, 7.1.5 being “fresh”, and 7.0.6 “still”
