Three different versions do NOT jump to saved cursor position when document is loaded!

I am running Win 11, fully updated.
I have tried 24.2.4, 7.6.7.2 and latest 7.2.7.2 (all 64 bit flavor). All jump to some (the same) older position in the document. All after first going to a different location for a short while.
Hitting shift-F5 goes to correct position.

I came from Win 10 running some older Lifre Office version. There it worked!
Unfortunately, the CPU fan crashed, so getting that version number will be difficult.

I have entered first and given name under User data.

So what am I missing?

I think this is the bug to which you refer, Bug 140147 - Position of cursor not saved correctly

7.1.0.3 looks like first occurrence or recurrence of not opening at cursor position. I worry about n.0 releases so you might have had 6.4.7.2, the last of the 6 releases which was pretty stable.

You might do better searching on this site for “cursor position”. I think someone posted a macro using bookmarks to remember last position as an interim solution. Or, you could set and use a bookmark manually.
