Tools/options/paths shows nothing on Backups and My documents lines

And won’t accept any entries. No error message, simply doesn’t show anything on the lines. Seems to save documents okay – can access the default docs folder, just doesn’t show in the options dialogue box. And, if I check ‘place backup in same folder’ under load/save, that works fine. But will not save, throws an error, if that box is not checked… All the other lines have entries and seem to work as intended.

This a newish install of Win10, and I had some difficulties getting the default document directory sorted to begin with – and this may have something to do with that, but I haven’t figured just what. Has anybody else run into this problem?

(BTW, the ‘Your topic is similar to…’ box is wildly off the mark on this.)

Try in Safe Mode, click Help > Restart in Safe Mode > Continue in Safe Mode. Can you see any entry for Backup or My Documents? Can you add an entry? If yes for both, then you might need to backup and then reset your user profile. I prefer the manual method, start LibreOffice to allow it to create a new profile, close LibreOffice and then copy the backed up folders over the newly created ones.
