I asked a similar question the other day and got a response which worked, but now is not working. I am trying to delete all rows which have cell contents that start with X in column N. To do this, I use a standard filter on column N, begins with and X. When applied, only those that begin with X are shown. I delete then, then Reset Filter. Before when I reset the filter, all of the rows which do not start with X in Column N appeared. However, today only a small number of rows are being shown after the Reset Filter (like 5 rows instead of 5000). Does anyone have any ideas why this would be happening or what I am doing wrong? I even took very careful notes when doing it the other day and following the same steps is not working. I’m pulling my hair out over here! Thank you for any suggestions!
Of course after hours of tackling this, I figure it out right after I wrote this post. For anyone having a similar problem, the spreadsheet needs to be highlighted/selected when applying and resetting filters. So, after deleting the items that begin with X, the empty spreadsheet needed to be highlighted for the Reset Filter to work.
