@karolus - I think @tedkent wants to know how he can get a Writer icon into his dock. Just had a look but could not find a way to do so. Only the LibO launcher I could get as an icon in the dock. We need a Mac specialist.
I don’t have a Mac to test, but I recall seeing every opened program have their icon in the dock and disappear after closing the program, so if that’s the case you could launch Writer and right-click on the icon in the dock. Another option is to drag-drop Writer onto the dock.
Refer the answer here. It is possible that due to the way Apple constantly change / break behaviour that the instructions there no longer apply, but please report if they do / do not. Thanks.
