UI is missing in one Writer document

I have one Writer document that only shows page with text, but there is absolutely no UI, no icons, no titlebar, no scrollbars, nothing. It is as if full page mode was turned on (like with a browser).

When I open the file from “recent files” from main LO launcher, it shows correctly, but when I launch the file directly, it has that issue. No other Writer files show this strange behavior.

Here is a screenshot of what I see on the screen. Note, there is even no titlebar, so I can’t even close it with mouse, I have to use alt+F4.

The screenshot is so much scaled down I can’t make out the OS. Window$?

Which is your LO version? Have you incurred an update recently (OS or LO)? Have you rebooted since then?

I scaled the screenshot down to cover the content of the file, which is a company’s property. You don’t need to see details. You already see the text on white page, gray area around and NOTHING. No menu, no bars, no titlebar with close/min-max buttons. The upper edge of the screenshot is the upper edge of the screen, so like you see, there is nothing there.

OS: Manjaro (Linux).
LO: 24.2.5
The issue persists for weeks and have nothing to do with system updates (which I had plenty in meantime). I belive, there was also LO update as well. This seems to be contained to this one document only.
The issue is with this one document. I cannot share it as it is not a private content.

Again, no issue with other documents or when it is launched from LO main launcher. As if some full-screen mode was turned on accidentally, but F11 is not helpful like with a browser.

The document may have stored the last view state it was opened in. But full-screen on my computer is not exactly the same: the task bar is not displayed here in full screen (Fedora 40 with KDE Plasma desktop).

Try pressing Ctrl+Shift+J, this is the full screen toggle command on my machine (factory setting for en_US UI). I don’t think it’ll fix it but you never know.

At first it changed the view into this:

In the upper-left corner a “fullscreen” button appeared (from LO, still no titlebar). When I clicked it, the document showed up normally (not full-screen, but properly maximized) with the normal UI.
I saved the document, closed, opened it and it keeps having correct UI like all other documents.
This was weird.
