Tried to install latest LO 25.2.1 on Mac (Ventura13.7.4) & pop up says: ‘can’t open the application “LibreOffice.app” because this application is not supported on this Mac’. I stupidly just uninstalled the previous LO 24. version which I had been using successfully, and now that won’t re-install either - same pop up. Any help greatly appreciated.
There are two different downloads for MacOS depending on whether you have an Intel chip or an Apple Silicon chip.
The installer should do that for you
On Windows perhaps, but not on macOS.
On macOS, the app bundle (i.e. a special type of executable archive) is dragged and dropped onto the Applications folder.
As the app bundle is called LibreOffice.app (the extension is hidden by default), installation is a matter of overwriting the existing app bundle. There is no uninstall process, unless you remove the existing LibreOffice.app by dragging it to the bin, or by using the file system context menu to delete it.
I stand corrected
