I’m getting the “error 1303” message when I try to install this version. How can I resolve it? I’ve never had this problem before. I am the admin for my laptop.

The simplest fixes for this question have been to restart your computer & then continue the install. Clicking the ‘Error-1303’ tag at the top of the page will also give you a large number of other identical questions with fixes to pursue.
An MS User-answers site for Win7 that seems to have good possibilities includes:-
- Reboot into safe mode
- Go to the folder that is causing the problem
(refer to the error message) - Right click | Properties | Administrative folder for security | Edit the permissions
- Apply | OK | Close folder
In Safe-Mode you can many things that Windows will refuse to allow you to do normally. I will also add my personal thought that the range of permissions that Windows contains is absolutely insane - far larger than even I as a support professional envisioned.
Reboot now back into ‘normal’ windows and - crossed fingers - you can install as normal.
