Unable to paste images from e-mail

I have an email with a big amount of text and 10+ images. I’m trying to copy text + images from an e-mail into a LibreOffice document and keep the formatting.

It seems the images that are in the e-mail are treated as some attachments. I see this HTML for them:

<div><img data-cke-saved-src="https://webattach.mail.yandex.net/message_part_real/?sid=..." style="height:323px;width:376px"><br type="_moz"></div>

LibreOffice is asking me for a username & password to authenticate, but entering my e-mail and password doesn’t do anything it seems. It just asks me again when I click OK.

How do I copy text + images from my e-mail into LibreOffice, while also keeping the formatting ?

Copy/pasting text + images from my e-mail:

  • Works in: Google Docs, WPS Office (desktop) (Without asking for login information)
  • Doesn’t work in: LibreOffice, Microsoft Word

OS: Windows 10
LibreOffice: 25.2.0.3

I found a workaround:

  1. Refresh my Yandex Mail tab in Firefox.
  2. Copy the text + images.
  3. Paste them in LibreOffice (it doesn’t ask me for a login for some reason)
  4. Save the document as .odt to preserve the formatting.
  5. Repeat

Refreshing the Yandex Mail tab in Firefox seems to circumvent the authentication prompt for the images that LibreOffice is requesting.
