Unable to print empty cell borders on 28.8.1.1

I’m unable to print a form which requires empty cells with boarders. I’ve configured the cells to have boarders of various line thicknesses, enabled print empty pages, enabled ‘print grid’ in Format Page, but nothing seems to work. Only the header row prints, blank page underneath.

Am I missing something? Could it be a bug?

Is the problem your version?

Check print ranges (in menu Format).

I’ve found the issue.

The sheet is simply five columns with a header row along the top. When I set the print range, I simply highlighted the columns and set it, so the print area was, theoretically, to the bottom limit of the spreadsheet. It was after that the borders wouldn’t print.

When I adjusted the column hight of the print range to be approximately the size of an A4 sheet of paper, the borders did print.

So, IMO, it’s a bug. There’s no reason why it shouldn’t print one page under the first scenario.

That would be 19785 pages, not one; not many people would be happy if it did that.
If there is a range of cells filled, Calc will use those cells as the print range rather than printing a massive number of blank pages. You can regard that as a feature, not a bug.

I couldn’t select to print one page to be printed showing the cell borders. When I did that, the cell borders didn’t print. So it’s a bug, IMO.
