Understanding eyedropper in Impress

I have a slide in Impress that is divided in half. On one side is an image with various colors.

I would like to match the color on the other side with one of the colors in the image.

How can I use the eyedropper to select a color on one side and fill the other side with that color.

(I have an empty box on the side I want to fill with my selected color).

I cannot figure out how to do this.

Does anyone know how to do this?
