I’ve installed LibreOffice 6 from official deb packages but my system still has version 5 installed but both versions are running perfectly, but I want to only keep version 6. How can I remove LibreOffice 5?
I’m running Ubuntu 17.04 32bit.

This is a question related to uninstalling Ubuntu bundled applications, and is not specific to LibreOffice.
The advice in 180403 will remove ALL versions of Libreoffice. I use the Linux synaptic package manager and then select, for example, LibreOffice5.4 to manage 5.4. LibreOffice* will manage all versions of installed LibreOffice not just 5.4

This technique allows me to install and check a new version of LibreOffice before moving my production work across. I am currently using 5.4, 6.0 and 6.1.
