Greetings to all, I have a Windows 7 64–bit OS. I tried to uninstall version 3.5 and when I did, the response I received was, Please exit Libre Office 3.5 and the Libre Office 3.5 Quickstarter before you continue. If you are using a multi–user system, also make sure that no other user has Libre Office 3.5 open. I am a single user on this one machine. Can someone please tell me what a Quickstater is ? The only software listed in Programs under the control panel is Libre Office 3.5. How do I find and remove the Quickstarter ? How do I remove Libre Office 3.5, so that I may upgrade to the lastest version ?
There is an option ‘Load LibreOffice during system start-up’ under ‘Tools’ > ‘LibreOffice’ > ‘Memory’.
If this option is set ON (checked) you should have a small icon for LibO, the Quickstarter icon, somewhere in a desktop tray (right side?). This showing that LibO is already loaded in the background and can be activated very quick.
If it’s context menue offers ‘close’ or something to that effect, this is what you should do.
If the option is switched OFF there isn’t anything to do about this.
In Tools > Options> > Libre Office >>Memory>>Libre Office quickstater was unchecked. How can I get the program deleted ? Thank you
How did you start the uninstall process?
Did you TRY to proceed? What happened on continuing? (I wouldn’t like to make much experiments with uninstalling my software.)
Did you use the task manager looking for any entry concerning LibO (“soffice” e.g.).
