I tried to update the LanguageTool extension, but the file is too big. The extension needs a lot of stuff for checking the grammar. So, the file size can’t be reduced.
Is there any possibility to upload an OXT bigger than 160 MiB?
The max. extension size seems a little small for modern times.
Where you want to upload it to?
Do you want to modify the official (built-in) extension?
modify the official (built-in) extension?
LanguageTool is not built in. My guess is that Daniel wants to upload LT to the extensions site and faces a limitation there (installing LT by downloading from its site is no problem), but let’s wait for his comment. However, I suspect that we here (mostly users) won’t be of much help.
Interesting. I use LibreOffice 7.4.1.1, but I only have LanguageTool downloaded and installed from its site.
The standalone add-on would likely be still useful, when having persistent internet connection for the sake of grammar checking is not an option.
Still, I guess that does not qualify as a built-in extension. Its just an interface to the server, isn’t it?
Absolutely.
Oh, and thanks for sharing. I usually read release notes, but not very thoroughly
@daniel.naber Anyway: as explained at Feedback, “reports concerning websites and web services can be added as issues on Redmine”.
Thank you for developing LanguageTool btw! It’s just great!
Thank you for the hint, I added the issue to Redmine.
Yes, the issue concerns the update of the LanguageTool extension (OXT), providing none-remote-check, the full support of rules running on text level and some additional features.
